Braxton Black a confident young pitcher with a combination of over arm and side arm deliveries went the distance for the Brisbane North Vikings threw a complete game 6-0 shutout over Ryde of Sydney to win the 2025 Australian Little League Baseball Championship Friday at Blacktown International Sportsplex.
Black struck out 12, and punched the tickets for Brisbane North to represent Australia at the famous Little League World Series in Williamsport Pennsylvania in August.

MARLINS FINISH TOURNAMENT WITH WINNING RECORD DESPITE FINAL GAME LOSS
The Eastern Phantoms pitching limited the Adelaide Marlins to one lone hit in the final game of the tournamant for both sides as gthe Western Australian side coasted home to a 12-0 shutout win over the South Aussies.
The Phantoms pitching combined to allow just one hit and one walk with eight strikeouts in the combined complete-game shutout.
Meanwhile the Phantoms bats combined for 13 hits, with Nicholas Rowland, Mason Scott, Lachlan Kendall and Bremer Renwick each had two hits. Renwick led the team with three RBI.
It was a 1-0 game until the Phantoms popped off seven runs in the fifth. Another rough one inning led to the Phantoms lopsided win. The Marlins finished the Nationals with a 4 wins and 3 loses record.

MARLINS GET 13 HITS IN ROUT OF McARTHUR COLTS

The Marlins bats exploded for 13 hits today including home runs to Archer Spratt and Chase Mazeruk, and a two hit day to Noah Sutherland to beat the McAthur Colts (NSW)13-4.
Adelaide trailed Melbourne 3-0 early but managed to flip the scoreline beginnig with Archer Spratt's long ball over the fence in the third – his second home run over the fence of the tournament. Spratt's solo shot increased the Marlins lead to 3-1, but Adelaide then took over from that point with 17 total hits, with every player in the lineup getting at least one hit.
Mazurek, Sutherland, and Oscar Patman led the hitting with two hits each, with Mazurek also collecting an inside the park homer.
The Marlins broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning with three runs, then scored four in the top of the sixth to push the score to 10-4.
Zac Gratton threw an impressive game on the mound for Adelaide – striking out nine batters in 2.2 innings pitched while not allowing an earned run. Cameron Majewski allowed one earned run in 2.1 innings, before Flynn Dienelt closed it out, allowing one run in one inning.
Brodie Leigh led Melbourne going 2-for-3, while Oliver Chrimes struck out eight in a 5.0 innings pitching..
The Marlins are one win away from clinching a spot in the semi-finals.
